My teenager son 13yrs has had +- 4 panic attacks in the past 5 weeks. They have just come out of the blue. Not able to establish why.How do i know if CBT will help and do not want to follow the medication route.

Dear concerned,
Hormonal changes can trigger anxiety attacks but as most panic sufferers report, the attacks come "out of the blue". CBT helps over 90% of sufferers and the power of CBT is that your son will be empowered to learn how to handle his attacks and recognise them before they come on, and unltimately get over them. Please contact our helpline on 0112626396 so a counsellor can send you some information and refer you to a therapist in your area.
